Welcome to Järva Open Care for Children and Youth
Open Care for Children and Youth 1 is a unit within the Open Care area that focuses on exciting development work and making a change that makes a difference for our children and families.
With us at Open Care for Children and Youth, you will work in a pleasant and development-oriented open care that offers high-quality interventions for children, youth, and their families. User participation, children's involvement, and our continuous development and improvement of our work are important to us.
In our unit, one of the teams is an MST team, MST-Järva. Multisystemic Therapy is an evidence-based family treatment intervention aimed at breaking norm-breaking behaviors in a youth by working for change in the systems surrounding the youth. The fundamental work takes place in the family system. The team consists of four family therapist positions and a group leader.
We are now looking for a new employee as one member of the team will be leaving due to relocation.
Welcome with your application!
We offer
We offer you the opportunity to work with one of the evidence-based methods highlighted in the National Board of Health and Welfare's knowledge support. The target group is interesting, and you will have a great opportunity to make a difference. The work is independent, flexible, and challenging, and the method, colleagues in the team, and the group leader provide significant support for you as a therapist. The team has method supervision every week, as well as individual support as needed. As a newcomer to the method, you will be offered basic training in MST, as well as continuous booster/further training one day per quarter.
In our unit, we have several different teams, with different target groups and expertise. The opportunity for collegial learning and inspiration is therefore great.
As an employee with us, you have a wellness allowance and the opportunity to take advantage of favorable offers from several gym chains and swimming pools. Please read more about our benefits here.
Your role
As a family therapist in an MST team, you work with goals that may involve crime, risk use, high school absenteeism, aggression, and other norm-breaking behaviors in the youth. Your job is to work together with the family, the youth themselves, and the private and professional network around the family to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors. Common partners are schools and psychiatry.
The therapist works both intensively and flexibly with a few families at a time. The work is home-based, which means that most meetings take place in the families' homes. The position includes being on-call via phone every 4 weeks. This is compensated according to the applicable collective agreement.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Experience in psychosocial treatment work with children, youth, and parents.
It is meritorious if you have:
- CBT training
- Experience of the social services' authority operations.
We are looking for you who are structured and have a great ability to drive change work towards goals. You also need to be engaged and good at building relationships with families and partners. You are also flexible and structured and have a strong problem-solving analytical ability.
Your application
Selection may be made on an ongoing basis.
We recruit without a personal letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only base it on your CV and a number of questions you will be asked to answer when applying for the position. We wish for you to respond concretely and succinctly to the questions, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thus counteracting discrimination.
